I don't have a clue 😃
Therefore it's a 5 to 6 for me
Why is that?
When I look around in my private environment, only a few of the "normal" people are interested. The impact seems to be low. Many projects are struggling. But you never know. That's why it's a 5 with a tendency to six.
I ask myself how will the impact of AI and AI on blockchain and cryptospace be? In the best case, there will be synergy effects and in the worst case, AI will be the next big thing and blockchain will no longer play a major role.

I tend to agree that at the moment there isn't much dynamisme in crypto and few people jump on the wagon... We will see where this leads :-)

I would probably have to say about a 5. I don't know enough about it to make an informed decision. I just dabble with it and hope the value or my portfolio goes up some day. It's purely speculation for me.

There is a lot of speculation around crypto and in a way it's not so good for crypto because the technology is in my opinion much more precious than what can be earned with speculative trading.

It's difficult to judge, as its still evolving i would say 6 or less.

Market is also volatile and there are too many countries / actors who want control over it. Some just want to exploit / make a fast buck, that also hampers the overall creditibility.
But i am still optimistic of the technology and it has potential.

Ask me the same question after 2/3 years from now, and i think the answer will be different and maybe better :-).

Almost wanted to put 10.. But I always think I am overly optimistic. So maybe a 8. Haha.

10 would be very optimistic indeed ;-)

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

Crypto this time is an 8 because it is giving me a chance to stack up at lower prices, lol! And I believe that crypto is here to stay and it's going to have a bright future.

Crypto has been around for about 10 years and I don't think it will disapear. There will be many tokens that won't be around 10 years from now but I also see a lot of potential.

Yes, I think so too. Many crypto projects will disappear but many good ones will stay and many new ones will come.

Thank you :)

hi there @liotes ! i have delegated some hp to liotes.voter but still havent get any upvoting whatsup?

It is an 8 for me. Since its introduction, it has revolutionised how we look at money and investment. Also, crypto is definitely here to stay

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

100% agree with you... Crypto will not disappear... Those who ignore the progress, stay behind...

I feel that it's about at a 2 perhaps. Just simply because just about no one you ask on the street uses it or even knows how to buy it.

That's a great perspective... So, if it is at 2/10, this is still a perfect moment to accumulate crypto and grow your stash!

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

At this point of time, I'll give crypto a rating of 3.

Lots of people have heard about it but there's more negative opinions than positive ones. The general impressions of crypto seem to be that it's a get rich quick scheme or an outright scam.

Ask a random person on the street how do you buy crypto, 90% of them would probably have no idea too. So we're also quite a far ways off from adoption.

It's a pitty that the general opinion about crypto is that bad. People don't see the technology behind it and are more aware of all the scams and colapsed projects that were mentionned in medias...

Many experts suggest that the future of cryptocurrencies is promising as more businesses are starting to accept it as a form of payment. The decentralized nature of crypto also provides greater financial control and privacy to individuals. Therefore, I would rate the future of crypto as an 8 out of 10.

!WINE

the future of cryptocurrencies is promising as more businesses are starting to accept it as a form of payment.

It looks like we will see the adoption BEFORE crypto is used as a form of payment... The case of Bitcoin as a store of value is already well-established, which is interesting to see and follow...

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

Today... Maybe a 6. In the future, the optimistic version: 8 (wide adoption, multiple applications in the real world, part of it still remaining an alternative to fiat and centralized control), the pessimistic version: 4 (just another fiat appendix). Nothing can replace everything. That's utopia.

I thought that the most optimistic version is 10 and the pessimistic 1! 😜
But, I do agree with you... we are still mostly experimenting with crypto and we still need to find the "right way to use it"

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

I'm going to say 5, both because I'm indecisive on things and because I think there's some arguments for and against the future of crypto. On the pro side, there's a relatively large amount of monetary value tied up in crypto funds, and I think the people wielding that financial power aren't going to want to see it gone. However, on the against side, the historical fiscal organizations are probably more against the current more distributed systems being the main financial systems of the future.

The money in crypto has increased tremendously over the past years. It has become kind of an asset category for investments. Unfortunately, people tend to forget why crypto is different...

Good morning, Liotes family, I believe that today it would be at 7, mainly due to the regulation factor.

At a certain point, regulation prevents scams, but at the same time it can mean more rates, and end up with attractiveness, I particularly increased exposure a little, and if a bull market happens, the valuation could be quite large, but it's all still uncertain , due to several global factors

Regulation isn't only bad. I mean how many people lost money in scams or broken CEX's. On the other side it's not clear at all how this regulation is set up and if every country starts to do it's own thing, it won't help at all...

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

3 or 4..

coz Crypto won't die however it won't be everything. tHey will stay exist in this world, but only exist.

why 4? because Crypto is lacking of many things, however most people think too highly about it. There are too many stupid and misleading news about Crypto, for example its better than fiat, it will replace fiat, bla bla bla and the fact about fiat is already digitized is forgotten because its not crypto.

until people, well majority of crypto users can give a better objective reasoning and perspective about crypto, I won't give more than 5 points because for me this condition is not on starting point yet.

There are a lot of people who make out of crypto the holy grail and it's by far not that. I think that fiat and crypto can well coexist and maybe it's also good that the crypto world gets through a cleaning phase where some of the hype and the scams get weeded out...

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

I'd rate it at 7 because the underlying technology is improving over time and has growing use cases, but continuous attempts at regulation will also increase, which can hinder improvement and confidence substantially. The technological and economical disruptions this is causing is very risky to established institutions, and all attempts will be made by said institutions to keep in power. This may sound like crazy talk, but actions across multiple countries, even in the US, have been congruent with this analysis.

The technological and economical disruptions this is causing is very risky to established institutions, and all attempts will be made by said institutions to keep in power.

That is probably the biggest obstacle and issue that institutions have with crypto... They will try to centralize it as much as possible, to keep some kind of control... I hope that we will still have some options to stay decentralized and not fall into their tricks...

Absolutely, but there will always be some decentralized options out there. The largest barrier to using those right now is ease-of-use (and if I'm being frank, trust). Since it doesn't pay to design a very well-functioning decentralized exchange, there are almost none out there. Bisq is a rare example of one that actually works as intended, but it's still not too user-friendly and is limited in scope.

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

At this point, I would have to rate crypto as about a 6. I see glimpses of it taking off and being more widely accepted, but with governmental regulations and looking for ways to monitor for taxation, that could increase the complexity to where most people will not want to become involved with it. I see the key being use-case. If it starts becoming more widely accepted as payment for produces and services, the value and acceptance by the general population will increase. Otherwise, I fear it may die on the vine.

There was a lot of promising development in the past but this has reached a stalling point and there is not much energy available at the moment to make crypto more useful...

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

I'm honestly not really excited about the future of Crypto. The tl,dr explanation is: the "crypto world" was invaded by scammers and, now, the general population automatically thinks that anything related to cryptocurrencies is a scam and if you try to explain otherwise, you're also a scammer.

It'll be REALLY difficult, or even impossible, to revert this situation.

Being in crypto for over 5-6 years, I saw many things that you are talking about... There were a lot of scams, rug pulls, etc... But, I suppose that happens with every new technology, in the "experimental" phase, and we are definitely in that phase... If you look at the past, you will realize how many different things were built in the blockchain tech, and we are still seeing new implementations...

Also, having a huge "enemy" in the mainstream media didn't help in spreading bad vibes about crypto... But... When big players come in, that image can change, very, very fast... It's amazing how the MSM propaganda machine can switch sides in a day!

So, I disagree that it will be difficult to revert the situation... In my opinion, it will be just a switch of the button... But after that moment, forget about accumulation or earning 5x in a year... 😃

My score is a 5!
I think that people are not yet ready to leave FIAT and the regulators will do everything possible to keep their positions. So the uncertainty is high.

It seems even people who are much involved in crypto are not willing to leave fiat...

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

With the big news that there will be more crypto ETFs by Blackrock and then Citadel and Charles Schwab making their own CEXs, things have got to be looking pretty good for the crypto space. Rating 10.

If the big money comes in, it could indeed be positive for the crypto world but I kind of don't get what it's happening at the moment :-)

Yeah, i guess unless if the banks start re-hypothecating it like they do with fiat! lol

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

For me it is a 9 because I think it has characteristics that make it more efficient for users than the current economic system and in the end they will be imposed.

9 is very optimistic. I believe that crypto can contribute a lot to include a lot of people into the financial system that are excluded in the fiat world. Only for that, I believe that crypto has its reason to exist.

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

At this point, I have to say 8. Crypto just doesn't have the flashy apps in development that beats the large studios right now, but it has potential. I just need to see more in terms of development to see people use crypto not for crypto itself but more because the application is good.

At the moment most things in the crypto world are a bit clunky and unwielding. They can't compete with the most successful apps from web 2.0. There is still a lot to be done :-)

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

As far as I'm concerned, I think everything will be tokenized in the near future. So 10. And with the help of AI.
Only a small part of the crypto deals with finance, and a much larger part with other things. And it's not necessary that we (humans) will like this...

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

Yay! Finally, someone who sees the bigger picture! 😃
Blockchain tech is already everywhere around us, but people don't pay attention to it... Smart-contracts are the super-computers of the future, and cryptocurrencies will continue to thrive as of the huge use-case that they carry...

In my reply, I would like to make a distinction between cryptos and blockchain.
I estimate the future of blockchains at 10 because they have become indispensable in many fields.
I rate cryptos at 8 because they are underpinned by these blockchains, but in my opinion only those that have a useful purpose will still be around in a few years' time; those that are purely speculative have little future because they risk exhausting their potential very quickly and investors will turn elsewhere.
With the exception of BTC, which will remain a benchmark.

I agree that the technology and the crypto should be seen as two different things. The technology is disruptive and can bring a lot of things but in the crypto world not everything is that amazing ;-)

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

If you would have asked about Blockchain Technology, I would have given it a 10. the underlying technology is here to stay and will not be going away. But the question was related to crypto not the technology that drives crypto. I give it a 5. Crypto by itself will take a lot longer time to be widely accepted and there are countries which are flat out banning crypto or trying to regulate it so that it will not compete against the national currency. I rated it right in the middle because it will need some very big global supporters for it to be accepted anytime soon and if some of these very big global players go against it, crypto could stay small for the foreseeable future.

I quite like how you look at the two things in a distinctive manner. I also love the technology but it's by far not where it could be and I believe this technology is here to stay.

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

I suppose that the main problem is mass adoption which didn't happen as of bad mainstream media representation of crypto... When big institutions come, that will change faster than we think...

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

5, Because all of that depends on many countries' laws.
Nowadays, Crypto is accepted in some countries and also banned in some countries. There are pros and cons for crypto and in the worst case, the nation always says, "Deep web use crypto as a payment for their transactions".

Tbh, In my viewpoint, people tend to look at the negative side first rather than the positive side. After they look more on the positive side and try to take action on the negative side (Not just banning because of the worst case), the future for crypto will be bright.

!PIZZA

people tend to look at the negative side first rather than the positive side.

You are right about that... But, if we check the things from the past, and even these events that happened in the last 3-4 days, it's amazing how the narrative can change in a DAY! Mainstream media manipulates with people as parents with a 1yo baby... lol...

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

Crypto, in my opinion, is 5. because I still see a lot of people who are afraid to invest in crypto after the pandemic. Indeed reached 8 when the pandemic, cos people were focused on something that was online. At that time Crypto is quickly becoming the star of the show. However, when people began offline activities, only those who already jumped in that still survived, and crypto is not attracting many new players at this time.

The hype is a bit over at the moment but I wonder how long it will take until people jump into it again :-)

3 credits added for the liotes ranking

Good morning everybody!

My score would be a 6, because I believe that the moment we are living influences a more defensive perspective, because even though I am recent in the crypto world, I learned that the market is very volatile, so we have no guarantees about how the future will be, it can maybe it gets better or stays like that for a while.

Of course, I believe and hope that everything gets better, so much so that even with these long months when everything is down, I haven't stopped a day from posting or playing hive games, because I know that in this low moment, it's the best time to accumulate tokens, reputation, increase HP and that all this will be rewarded in the future, when values in general increase.

It's nice to see that you keep up the good habits of creating even in such a situation. That's how you build your wealth and when the bull comes back, you will be happy :-)
