Have a nice day. Today I will give you information about the history of a madrasah. First of all, I would like to point out that I am someone who is interested in the works of the past, the works done in the past. For this reason, I have carried out the researches I have done in this content and the photos I have recorded happily.
Located within the borders of Turkey, Karaman province, Ermenek district has a Historical Madrasa. Located in the Çınarlı neighborhood of this district, Tol Madrasa has been preserved from the Karamanoğulları period to the present day. Although there is no restoration work once in a while, it has been ensured that it has been reached to the present day without changing its essence.
It was built by Emir Musa, who was the Governor of Ermenek at the time. One of the importance of this madrasah, which was built during the Karamanoğulları period, is that it was the first big madrasah to be built. In addition, its striking features in terms of structural features: It is a single storey structure and is surrounded by porticoes on three sides. Its open courtyard, the presence of eyyams in its south and north, and its domed structure are among its other features.
We start to smell history with the entrance door of this historical madrasah. The entrance door of the madrasa welcomes us with magnificent decorations. It is masterfully crafted and extremely majestic. It has a muqarnas decoration and an inscription underneath. There is an old window above the entrance door.
Finely embroidered niches on the right and left of the entrance also create a magnificent decor. It is said that in this section, which is called the main eyyam, in the researches on the madrasa, the art of tiles is greatly benefited.
There are tiled plaster sarcophagi in the tomb section. While the hexagonal and triangular motifs found here attract attention, the fact that their color is turquoise shows that it has a unique structure.
After briefly introducing you to this Madrasa, I would like to present to you the other images I recorded from this madrasah.
